When we postponed the EDP Rock ‘n’ Roll Madrid Marathon & 1/2 Marathon from its original date of April 26 to November 15, 2020, we felt very confident we would still be able to deliver an exceptional event at the later date. 

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and following consultation with Madrid City and Community of Madrid, we regret to advise that EDP Rock ‘n’ Roll Madrid Marathon & 1/2 Marathon cannot take place in 2020 and will return on September 26, 2021.

This cancellation comes as a huge disappointment to the organizational team who have worked tirelessly to find a solution to host the event at the highest standard while ensuring maximum safety for all participants who will always be our number one priority.

Registered participants of all event distances at the 2020 EDP Rock ‘n’ Roll Madrid Marathon & 1/2 Marathon will have the opportunity to defer their entry to the 2021 event but if you are unable to race with us in 2021, we have also provided two additional options detailed below.  You will receive instructions on how to select your preferred in the coming days, all selections must be completed by August 31, 2020. 

• OPTION 1: Free deferral to the 2021 Edition on September 26, 2021.

• OPTION 2: Free deferral to the 2022 or 2023 edition (Dates TBC).

• OPTION 3: Refund of registration fee minus operating and transaction costs.

Registered participants who choose Option 1 or Option 2 will:

• Reserve entry fee and all paid services for 2021 with no additional payments or price increases.
• Receive a 10% discount on all purchases made at the official event shop www.mapoma-shop.com until December 31, 2020.
• They will help the Organization to overcome one of the most difficult moments in its history; Because after 42 years of dreams fulfilled on the streets of Madrid, your solidarity is now vital for us.
